Hello Friends!
I hope this post finds you doing well, getting some of those long needed projects accomplished, well organized and enjoying extended time home with your family. It’s been a whirlwind of emotions around here for the past 9 weeks. I’m gonna be honest, I have felt all the feels from overwhelming anxiety to peace, from crying to laughter and I definitely prayed ALOT!
We had to temporarily close our barbecue restaurant due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and in the middle of it all, I started a new business of my own to get back to my creative side called Otillia Mae Handmade. You can find the link here to my Etsy site. I’m creating unique macrame jewelry right now, but you know me, you never know what I’ll be making next. If you see something in my shop that you just can’t live without, well, grab it and know that I appreciate your support of me, my little business and all things handmade. I know I’ve said I’m going to stay more connected, and by golly, I’m gonna! I really have missed you all!
Now that businesses are opening back up all across the country, including our restaurant, our local Branson Chamber of Commerce and CVB (Convention and Visitors Bureau) reached out to me and asked if I would share a recipe from our restaurant to be included in a newsletter featuring a virtual tour of my hometown, Branson. I couldn’t resist. Although I’d love to keep this recipe top secret, I know that there is more happiness in sharing and giving.
I’m pretty honored to have a feature in Mindy Bianca’s Newsletter as she is a very accomplished journalist and well known and respected in the world of public relations. So for her to contact lil’ ole’ me about a pecan pie recipe, let’s just say, it’s a big deal!
