#1 – Grab a mini notebook, some dictionary paper, glue, paint and markers and make this mini-journal. This is a great kids craft too! – Watch the video here
#2 Keep the paints, glue and markers handy and have a look around the house for anything you think would make an interesting texture. You’d be suprized at just how many craft materials you have already when you use your imagination. Once you’ve gathered a few supplies, check out the how to video here:
#3 Seriously? You THREW that bottlecap away? Save those bottle caps and make this adorable mini bird cage. It’s a great upcycled craft project that you can incorporate small bits and pieces of broken jewelry too! I like to use mine as a place card setting or as a mini photo holder. Watch the video here
#4 So you love to paper craft? Upcycled cereal boxes make a great base to make a variety of ATC cards to trade with your crafty friends. I use dies to cut my shapes easily, but if you don’t have that, think of using the base from a jar of blue or maybe the bottom of a small glass or a quarter to create nice round circle shapes. P.S. I love owls! How many characters can you create with a circle? Take the challenge and get your kids involved in crafting too! Watch the how to video
#5 I know you have lots of cardboard around and with a little imagination, it will be one of your favorite craft materials! Cardboard has so much texture and is great to make miniature birdhouse topiaries perfect for spring. Just because it’s warm outside doesn’t mean you can think spring and get a jump on your spring craft projects right? Watch the video here
#6 Work with metal. Grab a soda can and open it (just be careful and wear gloves) It’s easy to create beautiful vintage style flowers with soda cans and a little paint. Add some broken jewelry bits and you have another fun spring craft project that won’t break the bank. Watch the video here.
#7 Make a snowman canvas! A little timid to try your hand at painting on canvas? This is a great winter craft project to jump into. Create this adorable little scene using paper circles to create the snowman. It’s miniature in size and quick to make. I bet you can’t make just one after you watch the video.
#8 Make a phone call and talk to a friend and while you do, doodle! Turn your little doodles into art journal pages. This is a great way to expand your color palette and try out some new technques and ideas. Play and experiment – this video will give you a jump start into art journaling and doodling.
#9 Here’s a great idea for your home or office. Keep your pens organized and looking pretty with this blooming pen set. It’s easy to craft from ordinary Bic pens, flowers from the dollar store and a little floral tape. If you’re looking for a craft idea that is super quick, super easy and great for organization – this is the one to watch.
#10 Got Quilt scraps? Even old quilts that are worn to shreds? Why not give them some love and make an upcycled fabric craft. These little figurines are simple to make while you’re cozing up on the couch watching your favorite movie while it’s a blizzard outside. These make adorable little decorations for a tea party and I’ve used mine as place card settings. If you don’t have the dies, simply draw the basic shapes onto a piece of paper and use that as a template. This quick video will get your ideas flowing!
