Polymer Clay Free Project Tutorial – Make a Graduation Bear
Twelve years went by in a flash. Yesterday, she was in kindergarten and today she’s a graduating senior! Wow! Today, I’m sharing an oldie but goodie, free polymer clay project tutorial featuring a really cute graduation bear. I’m thinking this polymer clay bear would be perfect as a cake topper, ornament or just a little momento and rememberance of your grads accomplishments. You can easily convert the polymer clay instructions to work with fondant or gum paste for those who want an edible bear, though I don’t know how tasty it would be.
I use the six simple shapes method found in my PolyPens book – a book that teaches you how to turn ordinary ink pens into polymer clay pen sets. (here’s how to get a free copy one when you order my CD) This technique will help you master whimsical sculpting of these adorable characters in minutes. If you can roll a ball or a log in polymer clay, you can make this adorable little graduation bear. I promise.
