Already January 2 and it’s a mad rush countdown to CHA – the Craft and Hobby Mega Show in Anaheim California. I started attending, what was then called the HIA show, all the way back in 1998. I’ve missed a few here and there in the past recent years, but overall I’ve attended the majority of them (you can see highlights from CHA 2011 here and CHA part 2 here and don’t miss this one- check out the crafty Couture and Crafty Couture Part 2) . Those years that I missed, I really enjoyed being able to virtually attend through all the blog posts and facebook updates from my creative friends. So this year, I thought I would do the same for any of you who aren’t able to attend. Let’s take the trip together shall we?
This year, I have the big undertaking of designing for MD Hobby and Craft. They are known for creating decorative aluminum metal sheets with a variety of patterns, metal foils and chicken wire. This year, they are also introducing a brand new adhesive they call Decra Adhere and Clear Adhere. I have gone through – well I’ve lost count of how many tubes I’ve gone through – I just know that this stuff is amazing and I LOVE it! We’ll be using it in the Make it With Metal class and if you’re attending the class I know you’ll come to love it too.
Here’s a quick sneak peek of one of the projects that will be in the booth. Our theme this year is Eclectic Garden and is designed with an outdoor living area in mind. I’m a huge upcycler and so we’ve mixed some eclectic upcyling in with some rather bold boho designs. Each day I’ll be sharing sneak peeks right up until I leave, then I’ll share daily v-logs from the show! So please make sure you’re subscribed to my youtube channel – if not, do it now – subscribe here
This year, I’m focusing more of my updates on Twitter so be sure to follow me and tweet me @lindapetersontv – let’s connect! I want to get to know each one of you better and share lots of crafty goodness.
Enjoy your sneak peek and your day my friends….until tomorrow! 🙂
